Thank you for your interest in being a contributor at Becoming UnBusy. We value our community and would love to share your thoughts (and stories!) with our audience.

The following guidelines may help increase your chances for publication on our website:

  • Articles submitted for consideration should be of interest to the Becoming UnBusy audience and fall into one of our general categories — Simple Living, Modern Minimalism, Mindful Money or Becoming UnBusy.
  • Personal stories are always welcome. Where are you struggling? What have you overcome? How are you moving towards Becoming Unbusy? How have you reclaimed an UnBusy Life?
  • We like articles that include personal stories, as well as, a list format of ideas or actions that our readers can take. For example “5 things I learned on my Becoming UnBusy journey…” or “5 steps to living a simpler life…” (See 10 Benefits Kids Can Gain From An UnBusy Life as an example.)
  • We’d love to have you help us dig deeper into the idea of Becoming UnBusy. If you’re interested, move beyond everyday tips into the bigger picture. Share what you’re learning about living an intentional life with your family.

Article submissions should be between 600-1000 words but can be longer in special circumstances.

We do not pay for contributed articles, but we will promote them as we do our own pieces across our social media accounts. Our Facebook page and Pinterest board are both extremely active and typically drives significant traffic to each article we share.

If you would like to submit an article that is already published on your website, please be sure to fill out the Article URL option below.

To submit a new article for consideration, please fill out the form below. If your article is chosen to be published we will contact you within 14 days.

Please note: The process is selective and all articles are subject to editing. Headlines are subject to change, content may be edited for style or substance, links may be added for context, and art will be added at the discretion of Becoming UnBusy editors.
