    Type Six: The Loyalist Enneagram

Enneagram Sixes are often described as the Loyalist, Faithful Guardian, or Skeptic.

They are faithful friends, partners, and parents who fiercely guard the physical and emotional safety of those they love.

Enneagram 6s loyally protect people they care for and genuinely want what's best for everyone.

Sixes work behind-the-scenes to keep things running smoothly by being skeptical. They are constantly troubleshooting and always prepared for the worst-case scenario.

    Enneagram 6 Personality Under Stress

When overwhelmed, they push through anxiety to show the world "they have it all together" still. In an attempt to feel more secure, they often overcommit to work, focus more on material success, and can even begin to hoard resources.

In other words, when Enneagram Sixes are stressed they shift toward the unhealthy side of Type Three, The Performer.

    • Powerful woman standing in front of a conference room.
Enneagram 3: The Achiever + Performer

    A Healthy Enneagram 6

Healthy Type 6s have found tools to keep their anxiety in check and are less stressed about impending disasters.

Secure Enneagram 6s begin to trust themselves and believe things will be ok. They become more light-hearted, flexible, and present with the people they love.

In summary, when Enneagram Sixes feel secure they shift toward the positive side of Type Nine, The Peacemaker.

    • Woman making a peace sign with her hands.
Enneagram 9: The Peacekeeper, Peacemaker + Mediator

    Type 6: The Thinking Triad

Enneagram Sixes use thinking as their primary guide when making decisions.

This is because Type 6 is part of the Head Triad. This Thinking Triad is comprised of three types — Enneagram 5, Enneagram 6, and Enneagram 7.
