    Type Four: The Individualist

Enneagram Fours are often described as The Creative, The Originalist, The Individualist, or sometimes, The Romantic. But don't let that last one turn you away!

These unique creatives have a strong sense of identity and drive to lead an authentic life. They love to rise to a challenge, motivate others, and inspire hope.

If you are an Individualist, you likely dread the idea of being ordinary. Enneagram 4s in our UnBusy Community tell us, "Being known as being weird is the best thing!"

    Enneagram 4 Under Stress

When Enneagram Fours are stressed, they shift toward the unhealthy side of Type Two, The Helper. Unhealthy Fours repress their needs, can have issues with co-dependency, and sometimes blame others for their struggles.

    A Healthy Enneagram 4

When Enneagram Fours feel secure, they shift toward the positive side of Type One, The Idealist. They use their creativity to help others feel accepted for who they are, assuring them they have a place in this world.

Healthy Fours become more present and take action on their creative ideas.

Type 4: The Heart Triad ♥

Enneagram Fours use how they feel as their primary guide when making decisions.

This is because Type 4 is part of the Heart Triad. This heart-centered triad is comprised of three types — Enneagram 4, Enneagram 3, and Enneagram 2.

Learn more about the other Heart Triad types: Enneagram 2 and Enneagram 3.
